What Is It?
The Healthy Habits Challenge PLUS is another great way to “jump start” your health and wellness for 2013! Whether you have taken part in the Original Healthy Habits Challenge and feel you're ready to take it to the next level, or if you're just that committed to increasing your health and wellness, we invite you to take part.
Just like the Original Challenge, this program will help you focus on exercise, nutrition, sleep, and personal balance so you can feel your best all year. And yes- If you work it right, it may even help you shed some unwanted pounds, as well!!

The Healthy Habits Challenge Plus builds on all of the goals of the Original Challenge by adding requirements for daily whole grains, and 30 more minutes of exercise each week that includes strength training. Who Can Do It?
Anyone can join us! You don’t have to be a current client. You don’t even have to live locally! Invite your friends, family members, and co-workers to take part! The more people around you who are working on these goals, the easier it will be for you to be successful.
When Do We Start?
We will all start together on Monday, January 7, 2013. The program goes for 8 weeks, ending on March 4, 2013. That's long enough to form some really healthy habits that hopefully, you will continue throughout the rest of the year!

How Does It Work?
Each participant pays $21 to Fitness Pros Plus. This is part of your incentive to do well: $15 of that fee goes into a pool with the other participants’ fees. At the end of the 8 weeks, the person with the most points wins the pool!! If there is a tie for the most points, those people will split the pool.
So- the more of us who participate, the greater the prize possible at the end! It’s a win –win.
You get the benefits of forming these new healthy habits, and a chance to win the pool at the end!!
We each commit to the following for the next 8 weeks:
- Drink 64 oz of fluids daily (At least 48 oz. of your fluids must be water. Herbal tea counts as water. You may have 2-
8 oz. servings of coffee, caffeinated tea, 100% fruit juice, or milk- 1% or skim to bring your fluid total to 64 oz.)
- Stop eating 2.5 hours before bed time
- Sleep (for those insomniacs out there- attempt to sleep) 7 hours per night
- Accumulate 180 minutes of moderate intensity exercise each week. You must exercise 4 days a week, for at least 30
minutes per day. Your weekly exercise must include at least 3, 30-minute sessions of cardiovascular exercise and 2, 30-
minute sessions of strength training.
- Eat 3-4 servings of whole grains each day. (amount will be based on gender and age)
- Eat 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day (amount will be based on gender and age)
- No sweets or junk food! (baked goods, ice cream, candy, chips… no empty calories!)
- No soda, caffeinated energy drinks, sugary beverages- including fancy coffee drinks, etc.
- Set one personal goal- It can be anything you want to work on daily. Organizational, time management, spiritual, eating
more fiber, flossing your teeth… Whatever meets your needs.
** If your physician has prescribed more or less of something in any of the categories, meeting your physician's prescribed amount satisfies the requirement for that category, and you may receive the full amount of points for the week.
You receive one point daily, for each of the goals you accomplish. Each week, you get 3 “freebies” to use as you wish. That means you can have 1 soda per week if you choose, a late night, or a day that you drink flavored waters instead of plain.... You can have all three, but once your freebies are gone, you must be perfect in each category or you will lose a point. Use them one at a time, or use all three in one day. Once you use a freebie in a category, you may not use it in that same category again within the same week. Freebies do not score points, and you cannot earn additional points by not using your freebies.
(7 total days x 9 categories - 3 freebies = 60 points possible)
This is an honor system. Be honest with yourself, and be honest with us. Each Monday, you report your total points for the previous week, in person at a training session, via email, or text, to Fitness Pros Plus. You get an additional point for the week, for reporting to us by Monday at mid-night.
Fitness Pros Plus keeps track of the participants and the points earned each week. At the end of the 8 weeks, the person/people
with the most points wins, and the prize money will be distributed.
Fitness Pros Plus will answer your questions, provide feedback, as well as send you a weekly email with motivational, fitness, health, or nutrition tips to help keep you moving in the right direction.

The $21 fee must be received by Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Enter $21 in the dollar amount, click "Buying Something" then enter the email address [email protected] in the "To" field. You can finish processing your payment with your debit or credit card.)
You can also pay via online bill-pay- to Fitness Pros Plus, LLC. Please remember when choosing this option, that the bank will take several more days to process and mail the check. You'll need to allow enough time for payment to reach us by the deadline. If you need to pay via this option please contact us for the mailing address.
Once you let us know you’re committed, we’ll send you a more specific breakdown of the rules, and a tracking sheet to help get you on your way!
